Play Therapy of the Pines, PLLC is a private practice located in the Sandhills of North Carolina. We have extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and families, and also specialize in working with the military population.

Our Therapists
Megan Numbers, PhD, LCMHC, RPT-S™
Dr. Megan is the founder of Play Therapy of the Pines, PLLC has over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. She specializes in working with military children and families.
Dr. Megan uses a variety of expressive interventions to include: sandplay therapy, art therapy, music therapy, Therplay, TF-CBT, clinical pediatric hypnotherapy and so much more!
Carla Salazar, LCSW
Carla has 5 years of experience in the mental health field and specializes in helping kiddos work through grief and loss and navigate terminal illnesses. Carla is also a certified school counselor in California!
Kayla Staples, LCSW, RPT™
Kayla has 4 years of experience in the mental health field and specializes in working with kiddos in the foster care system. She uses a variety of different expressive interventions to include: sandtray therapy, narrative therapy, animal-assisted therapy, TF-CBT, Synergetic therapy and so much more!

Nikki specializes in helping adults work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, boundaries, relationships, and childhood trauma.
